Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about My Fresh Page Project.

CAN ANYONE ENTER?

My Fresh Page Project is open to individuals of any age, as well as not-for-profit organizations.

WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS QUALIFY?

Any project that does good for the community qualifies. You can tutor kids or plan an outing for older adults. Plant a garden or clean up a playground. Put on a play or paint a mural. Start a food bank or offer counseling. Your project can be anything that helps improve your community in any way. If you previously submitted a project that didn't win, you can submit it again. See official rules for more details.

CAN I ENTER MORE THAN ONE PROJECT?

Yes, you may enter up to five projects to help do good in your community.

CAN AN IDEA BE SUBMITTED FOR MORE THAN ONE PRIZE LEVEL?

No, each project can only be entered into the contest once; you cannot enter the same project at more than one prize level. But you can enter up to five different projects during the contest period.

HOW MANY PROJECTS WILL WIN?

There will be 10 My Fresh Page Project winners across three prize levels:
- $5,000 (three winners)
- $1,000 (three winners)
- $500 (four winners)

WILL MY $500 PROJECT BE COMPETING AGAINST $5,000 PROJECTS?

No, your project only competes against those at the same prize level. The top five projects at the $5,000 and $1,000 level and the top seven projects at the $500 level will be semi-finalists. There will be winners at each prize level: $5,000 (three winners), $1,000 (three winners) and $500 (four winners).

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?

Winners will receive cash prizes to help bring their My Fresh Page Projects to life in their communities. A total of $20,000 will be awarded across three prize levels: $5,000 (three winners), $1,000 (three winners) and $500 (four winners). But My Fresh Page Project is about so much more than winning. It's about inspiring you to imagine the good you could do for others starting today.

HOW ARE THE WINNERS CHOSEN?

The top five projects at the $5,000 and $1,000 level and the top seven projects at the $500 level will become the 17 semi-finalists. YMCA of the USA, the national resource office, will choose the final 10 winners from semi-finalists based on merit, creativity, fit with contest theme and appropriateness of project. There will be three winners of $5,000, three winners of $1,000 and four winners of $500.

WHEN IS THE VOTING PERIOD?

Voting starts on September 3, 2014 and ends on October 24, 2100.

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES?

The entry deadline is October 24, 2100.

WHEN WILL WINNERS BE ANNOUNCED?

My Fresh Page Project winners will be announced on October 31, 2014.

HOW OFTEN CAN I VOTE?

You may vote once a day for one project from each prize level: $5,000, $1,000 and $500.

CAN I VOTE FOR MORE THAN ONE PROJECT?

Yes! You may vote once a day for one project from each prize level: $5,000, $1,000 and $500. Your vote -- and your friends' votes -- could help a project win.

DO LIKES, RETWEETS AND SHARES ON SOCIAL MEDIA COUNT AS VOTES?

No, you must vote from this site using Vote buttons.

CAN PREVIOUS MY FRESH PAGE PROJECT WINNERS ENTER IN 2014?

Unfortunately, no. We congratulate and thank you for helping to keep your community active and thriving. Remember, you can still make a difference in the community by voting for your favorite projects every day and encouraging others to vote daily, too.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY PROJECT AFTER IT'S ENTERED?

Every project entry is considered final. In order to make changes to your entry, you must email digital@ymca.net to delete your entry, and then resubmit your project through this site. Please note that votes do not transfer to a resubmitted entry. You will lose all accumulated votes if you delete your project.

ARE YMCA STAFF ELIGIBLE TO ENTER PROJECTS AND VOTE?

Yes, both local YMCA and YMCA of the USA staff can enter projects and vote for projects.
